Why is this water so special you may ask? Well...Let me tell you:
1) Water = Sweet Nectar of Life!!! Water hydrates you & helps to flush the system of daily toxins. It is the best thing you can drink. Period.
2) Lemons aid in cleansing the digestive system & the liver. Because of the citric acid in lemons, they are good acne fighters. The vitamin C found in these little citrus wonders will leave you with glowing skin as well as a boosted immune system. Lemons have strong anti-bacterial properties which help in your body's healing process.
3) Cucumber is nature's superfood! They are a good source of B vitamins which give you energy. Since cucumbers are 95% water, they rehydrate your body and replenish your daily vitamins. Puffy eyes or sunburn? The cucumber is a natural anti-inflammatory. The silicon and sulfur contained in this superfood also help to stimulate hair growth! All you need is a lemon (or two), a cucumber (or two), some sprigs of mint (as many or as little as you want), a cutting board, a knife & a container of your choosing. Make sure you rinse off your ingredients with a veggie wash, water or an apple cider vinegar & water mix.
Place all the ingredients in the container.
Fill up the pitcher with water and stir.
Tah Dah!!!! Let it steep in the fridge for 8 hours then you are good to drink! I put a lots of goodness in this one because I plan to drink this pitcher then refill with water and repeat for one more round.
Aside from my morning coffee or tea, water is basically the only thing I drink, but I know for many people, drinking just plain water can be a boooooring! Have no fear! There are nutritious & natural options to boost the flavor of your H20:
Take a fruit such as oranges, tangerines or any type of berry & place them in a container of your choosing. My favorite is a berry mix. Smash them in the bottom then cover with water & you have all-natural flavored water!
Another option would be to freeze your fruit then add it to your ordinary glass of water! It's like having fruity ice cubes!
